Antibiotics are the chemical substances used to control the diseases of plants and animals. They help us to fight against many diseases such as typhoid, TB, Pnuemonia etc. and other micro organisms.
Alexander Fleming invented Penicillin, the first antibiotic in 1928.
Antibiotics word is a combination of two words ‘anti’ and’biot’. Anti means to be against something and ‘biot’ means life
Waxman, a scientist has said that antibiotics and chemical substances made up of living organisms and have the power to check the growth of bacteria.
Pencillin is not the only antibiotic. Some antibiotics have proved to be more effective than Pencillin in some diseases.
